I have to shake my head at the level of American ignorance displayed in regards to the Syria conflict.
People talk about Muslims and say they will never stop fighting. AMERICA has never stopped fighting. Our last war is still going on! Just because we take our fights out of our country does not make us any different – it may make us worse!
Then Americans want to hold ourselves above Muslims because ‘they have been fighting each other for hundreds of years,’ completely ignoring the fact that a civilization like Syria is 12,000 years old.
The U.S.A. may be fighting for hundreds of years also. At only 237 years old, we’re just getting started.
Please learn a little history, and get a little perspective. Nearly every people in the world have fought over this land. Why? Realize that the current incarnation of Syria is only 67 years old.
When the U..S. was 67 years old, we still had slavery, were at war with Mexico, and building a telegraph system was the latest communications idea.
