About TRP
The Rational Progressive is a publication focused on progressive news and issues. Focused forward and focused on the facts, we avoid demons and demagogues.
Progressivism
Progressivism is not an ideology at all, but an attitude towards the world of politics that is far less black-and-white than conservatism or liberalism, breaking free from the false and divisive dichotomy of liberal vs. conservative that has dominated American politics for too long.
Progressives aren't simply liberals; progressives see the world for what it is, accept it as ever-changing and dynamic, and choose the best course of action in line with decidedly American values.

DNC Pushes Obama Jobs Plan in Video Ads September 19th, 2011 | Tags: ads, facebook, jobs act, marketing, obama, video

The Democratic National Committee is pushing Barack Obamas jobs plan with eye-catching online video ads, as the Obama campaign targets marriage equality voters on Facebook. Both efforts display the reelection campaigns use of issue-themed ads online to build their supporter lists.Expandable ads spotted on LATimes.com yesterday from the DNC lead to a website supporting President Obamas job-creation plan, AmericanJobsAct.com. The ads include a video featuring an edited version of the speech he gave before Congress about the proposal earlier this month. They also list several bullet points that Democrats claim will result from the plan including “$1,500 more in your paycheck,” “creating jobs fixing roads and bridges,” and “keeping good teachers in classrooms.”
