Cliff Stearns (R-FL) said \u201cWe can\u2019t compete with China to make solar panels and wind turbines.\u201d\u00a0 As Climate Progress noted, this defeatism is\u00a0 un-American in every respect.<\/p>\n<p>This morning, President Obama responded bluntly:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>I heard there was a Republican member of Congress who is engaging in oversight on this. And despite the fact that all of them in the past have been supportive of this loan guarantee program, he concluded, \u201cYou know what? We can\u2019t compete against China when it comes to solar energy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Well, you know what?<\/p>\n<p>I don\u2019t buy that.
