Lately I have heard several times how Ocasio-Cortez is pushing Dems and Congress to the left. This is a big reason why we don’t get along. You refuse to accept how insulting it is to keep saying that you are responsible for pushing people to the left.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

No one needs to ‘push me to the left’. We agree on principle. We don’t agree on process. The thing is, I have a good deal more experience and knowledge of the process than you do. That includes trying to tear down the system.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Saying I need to be pushed to the left dismisses and disregards all the blood, sweat, and tears I have shed trying to make change in my community and for the country in a more liberal direction. Saying I need to be pushed paints all the bruises and abuse I have taken from standing in the way of Republicans as trivial.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The infuriating cherry on top is that not only do you think I am not ‘left enough’, you actually believe that my battle scars are proof that I am useless in the effort to create a better, fairer nation, that I have ‘done nothing’, and I am “complacent” and need to “step aside”.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Step aside for someone who, judging from my conversations with you,\u00a0voted for the first time\u00a0a few years ago. Now you’re a Poli Sci expert.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

So we don’t get along. We can’t get along because every time we speak you insult me. And you are fine with it.<\/span><\/div>\n
