{"id":2375,"date":"2012-08-03T09:22:20","date_gmt":"2012-08-03T13:22:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/therationalprogressive.com\/cms\/?p=2375"},"modified":"2012-08-03T09:22:20","modified_gmt":"2012-08-03T13:22:20","slug":"iowas-gop-governor-blasts-romney-campaign-on-wind-tax-credits-they-need-to-come-out-here-to-the-real-world","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/therationalprogressive.com\/cms\/2012\/08\/iowas-gop-governor-blasts-romney-campaign-on-wind-tax-credits-they-need-to-come-out-here-to-the-real-world\/","title":{"rendered":"Iowa&#8217;s GOP Governor Blasts Romney Campaign On Wind Tax Credits: They Need To &#8216;Come Out Here To The Real World&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Now that Mitt Romney\u2019s campaign has officially declared the candidate\u2019s desire to kill tax credits for wind while maintaining tax credits for the mature oil and gas industries, Midwestern Republicans are not happy.<\/p>\n<p>Iowa Republican Representative Tom Latham said Romney\u2019s decision \u201cshows a lack of full understanding of how important the wind energy tax credit is for Iowa and our nation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And Iowa Republican Senator Chuck Grassley, the man working behind the scenes to get an extension of the tax credit for wind, said he thinks \u201cpeople that didn\u2019t know what they were doing said it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In an interview with Radio Iowa today, Republican Governor Terry Branstad also had strong words for Romney\u2019s campaign, saying they \u201cneed to get out here in the real world and find out what\u2019s really going on\u201d before abandoning support for the industry.
